Ethernet has long been used to transport data within Local Area Networks (LANs). Now, because of the value and simplicity it brings to network configuration, Ethernet is being used to transport data between LANs over longer distances. US Signal offers many Ethernet access options.
- Ethernet over Copper (EoCu)
Ethernet over Copper uses DSL conditioned copper pairs to deliver bandwidth speeds at a cost much lower than other technologies. - Ethernet over DS-1, DS-3 and OC-3 (EoTDM)
US Signal can place equipment at a customer premise to convert DS-1, DS-3 and OC-3 loops to Ethernet. - Ethernet over SONET
US Signal’s SONET transport network can use concatenation or virtual concatenation (VCAT) to connect customer locations to the US Signal SONET Transport Network. - Native Ethernet
Customers in selected locations may have the option to connect directly to the US Signal Ethernet Transport Network either within data centers or utilizing a fiber build.
Ethernet Access may be used to provide
- Multiprotocol Label Switching VPN Service
- Private Line Services
- Dedicated Internet Access
- Virtual Ethernet Service
